 CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme

This is a management level course, providing in-depth teaching on health, safety & wellbeing, as well as environmental issues and management skills.  Delivered over 5-days, we offer options for day release 1-day per week or block classes to ensure minimal disruption to work and to suit client need.  The course is ideal for site and project managers.

The course covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the construction and civil engineering industries, and is considered standard training for all construction managers. The course also covers risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.

Course content:

The Health & Safety at Work Act
Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations
Up-to-date changes in accepted working practices
Behavioural safety
Risk assessments and method statements
Management of occupational health
Working at height, confined spaces, scaffolding, demolitions and excavations

The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme is highly interactive, incorporating group activities and a sharing of good [and bad] practice with theory learning.  Our assessors boast a wealth of construction experience and expertise, applying a range of teaching techniques to suit all learning styles and needs.  The course includes CITB registration and certification and mandated GE700 text books.

The SMSTS certificate is valid for 5 years from completion.  You must renew this certificate every five years before it expires by attending the SMSTS Refresher course.
