CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

Aimed at construction site supervisors, foremen and those wishing to progress through the CITB suite of Site Safety Plus courses to site supervision and management, the SSSTS Initial course is a supervisor level course where you will learn about your legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental issues.

An interactive course with experienced and industry-accredited assessors, delegates will leave with an excellent working knowledge and solid platform upon which to develop their skills and career.  Our assessors boast a wealth of experience and expertise in construction, and use a variety of teaching tools to suit all learning styles and needs.

Course content:

The Health & Safety at Work Act
Health & Safety law and how this applies to supervisors
Risk assessments and method statements
Specific on-site issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis
Supervision of occupational health
Behavioural safety
Delivering effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
Monitoring site activities effectively
Timely intervention when bad practise is identified

Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate.

The SSSTS 2-day Initial course is ideal for delegates wishing to progress through the route of site supervision.  The course includes CITB registration and certification and GE706 mandated text book with GT700 Toolbox Talks.
